Our family loves us after all! Well, at least two of them do. We were SO excited for our nieces Jessica and Tacy to come and visit a couple of weeks ago. We had so much fun sightseeing and hanging out together.
First, we picked them up at O'Hare and spent the next 24 hours in Chicago. Mostly we just took long walks admiring the beautiful scenery. Luckily our Marriott (thanks Jeff!) was just a mile from Navy Pier, so we walked down a couple of times and opted to get an aerial view of the city via the 150' ferris wheel. I was secretly hoping that the pier would surprise us and have my favorite treat of frozen bananas (like a certain Balboa Island). Oh well... we still had so much fun!
After Chicago we drove a few hours up to Wisconsin Dells, which has a million indoor waterparks. A huge Wisconsin attraction, and this is the first time that we finally made it out there. We were grateful for the excuse! We got a good deal on a really fun resort and had a blast. Adam's favorite was the "yellow slide" and the lazy river. I think he loved the river because he's just barely tall enough to stand up in it all by himself, as he hops along with the current. He now asks about the waterpark almost as much as as he asks about Jessica and Tacy and when we can go play with them again. :)
So, when the waterpark had finally worn us out, we headed back home. Had lots of fun hanging out, playing games, and of course doing a few fun local things. Since we couldn't talk them into a baseball game, we opted for some frozen custard (on more than one occasion--thank you Oscar's:), the zoo, The Spice House (LOVE this place. I can just smell it now...), Sprecher's Brewery (for the tour, of course), and let's not forget our friend selling sunglasses on the corner.

So cute! I would LOVE to be next to go to Chicago and visit you guys, but something about "not even seeing our parents often enough" keeps ringing through my mind... Yes, you are luring me, too, though. :) Love the pictures and your family!
